Properties and Efficacy

Beauty Collagen is an advanced formula designed to combat skin aging, improve skin elasticity and firmness, and support healthy hair and nails. With a synergy of hydrolyzed marine collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, silicon, resveratrol, astaxanthin, lycopene, biotin, zinc, and L-cysteine, this nutraceutical works deeply to regenerate skin and protect tissue from oxidative damage, visibly reducing signs of aging.

Hydrolyzed marine collagen: Marine collagen is one of the most bioavailable forms of collagen, easily absorbed by the body. It helps stimulate endogenous collagen synthesis, visibly improving skin elasticity and firmness, reducing the depth of wrinkles, and making the skin plumper and brighter.

Hyaluronic acid (low molecular weight): Hyaluronic acid is known for its ability to retain moisture in the skin, improving hydration and reducing the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. The low molecular weight allows deeper penetration into the skin layers, promoting more supple and smoother skin.

Vitamin C (extracted from Acerola): Essential for collagen synthesis, vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect skin from oxidative damage and improves its radiance. In addition, vitamin C stimulates collagen production, counteracting signs of aging and improving skin elasticity.

Silicon (Lithothamnium calcareum): Silicon is a key mineral for healthy connective tissue. It is essential for the synthesis of collagen and elastin, helping to keep skin supple and toned. It also supports the regeneration of skin and nails, improving their strength and appearance.

Resveratrol: A powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals. Resveratrol also inhibits metalloproteinases (MMPs), enzymes responsible for collagen breakdown, thus helping to keep skin young and toned.

Astaxanthin: This natural carotenoid is a powerful fat-soluble antioxidant that protects the skin from UV damage, reducing wrinkles and improving skin elasticity. Astaxanthin also helps prevent collagen degradation and supports skin protection against photoaging.

Lycopene: Another antioxidant carotenoid that plays a crucial role in protecting the skin from UV damage. Lycopene helps reduce the risk of premature skin aging and maintain the integrity of the extracellular matrix, thereby improving skin elasticity.

Biotin: Also known as vitamin B7, biotin is essential for healthy hair, nails, and skin. It helps strengthen hair and nails, stimulates hair growth and contributes to nutrient metabolism, promoting healthy, well-hydrated skin.

Zinc: Essential for collagen synthesis and proper functioning of the immune system, zinc supports cell regeneration, strengthens hair and nails, and helps protect skin from oxidative damage

L-Cysteine: A sulfur amino acid that is a key component of keratin, the main protein that makes up hair, skin, and nails. L-cysteine helps strengthen hair, improve nail structure, and support the keratinization process in the skin.

Main Benefits

Scientific Studies and Insights

Beauty Collagen is formulated with scientifically supported ingredients that offer numerous benefits for skin, hair, and nails. The scientific studies underlying the efficacy of Beauty Collagen's ingredients are well documented. Here is an in-depth look at the main components and their applications in cosmetics and nutraceuticals.

Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen. Hydrolyzed marine collagen is one of the main ingredients in Beauty Collagen and is notable for its high bioavailability. Studies have shown that marine collagen peptides, due to their low molecular weight, are rapidly absorbed by the body, promoting improved skin elasticity and reducing the depth of wrinkles. In a study of women aged 35 to 55 years, marine collagen supplementation led to a significant improvement in skin elasticity and hydration (1-12).

Vitamin C (Acerola). Vitamin C is an essential cofactor for collagen synthesis. Its action is critical for collagen formation and stability, supporting skin structure and function. Studies have shown that oral intake of vitamin C, particularly that derived from Acerola, improves skin health by promoting collagen synthesis and counteracting skin aging. Acerola is rich in natural vitamin C, which is more easily assimilated by the body than synthetic vitamin C. One study found that vitamin C extracted from Acerola promotes skin elasticity and protection against UV radiation damage (13)

Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid, particularly low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, is used for its ability to retain moisture in the skin. This has been confirmed by numerous studies, including one that observed improved skin elasticity and a significant reduction in wrinkles after only 4 weeks of oral intake The ability to penetrate deep into the skin layers makes it one of the most effective ingredients against skin dryness and volume loss (14,15).

Silicon (Lithothamnium calcareum). Silicon, particularly that derived from the red alga Lithothamnium calcareum, is a crucial structural element for the maintenance of connective tissue, including skin, bone, and cartilage (16). Silicon stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin, two key components for skin health and elasticity. Several studies have documented that silicon plays a vital role in the protection and regeneration of skin, improving its hydration, elasticity, and strength. An experiment conducted on older people showed that silicon supplementation significantly improves skin elasticity and reduces wrinkles (17)

Resveratrol. A powerful antioxidant found in many plants, it is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals and UV radiation. Resveratrol inhibits metalloproteinases (MMPs), enzymes that degrade collagen, helping to prevent premature aging and sagging skin. Several studies have shown that resveratrol, taken orally, can reduce signs of skin aging and improve overall skin health (18,19).

Astaxanthin. A natural carotenoid, known for its extraordinary antioxidant properties. Its effectiveness in counteracting UV radiation damage has been extensively studied. Astaxanthin works by neutralizing free radicals and reducing the production of MMP-1, enzymes involved in collagen degradation. Clinical studies have shown that astaxanthin supplementation leads to significant wrinkle reduction and improved skin elasticity while preventing sun damage (20-28).

Lycopene. another powerful carotenoid, is widely recognized for its photoprotective properties against UV damage. Scientific studies have shown that U skin elasticity. Lycopene has also been associated with reducing wrinkle formation and improving overall skin health (29-36).

Biotin, Zinc, and L-Cysteine. Biotin is essential for healthy hair and nails. Studies have confirmed that biotin supplementation increases nail thickness and stimulates hair growth (37-39). Zinc is a key mineral for collagen synthesis and cell regeneration. Zinc deficiency is often related to hair loss and nail deterioration. In addition, zinc helps counteract oxidative damage and promotes keratin synthesis, strengthening hair and improving skin health (40-41). L-cysteine is an essential amino acid for the formation of keratin, a structural protein critical for healthy hair and nails. Studies have shown that L-cysteine supplementation improves hair quality and strength, preventing hair loss and thinning (42,43).
